The main function of the Quality Department is to monitor in purchased components, process molding and assembly operations.  Quality collects, prepares, and maintains product validation data per customer specification. 
 
The data may encompass:  
  • First Piece/Last Piece Inspection
  • Product Testing
  • Capability Studies Using Statistical Process Control Data
  • Color Matching
 
Other Responsibilities of the Quality Department Include:  
  • Develop Product/Process Quality Plans through APQP Process 
  • Conduct Supplier Quality Assessments 
  • Maintain Calibration System
  • Incoming Inspection of Purchased Materials
  • Coordinate the Internal System Audits and External Independent Audit
  • Investigate and Resolve Product and System Corrective Actions (8D Reports)
