Calico Precision Molding will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Calico acquired a plastic and rubber injection molding company in July of 2001. In the past decade, Calico has sustained itself with key management decisions and a shift in diversification of product mix throughout tough economic conditions. The diversification was into the Military, Commercial, Industrial Packaging, and several other markets. With this shift into other markets, it has help make Calico a stronger player in the plastic and rubber injection molding arena. Calico has grown as a supplier to the automotive industry by realizing the advantage of crossing over from just a shoot and ship supplier to a value- add supplier by taking on new opportunities like assembly manufacturing (i.e. sonic welding, spin welding, etc). Calico knows that to be a great supplier it means exceeding its customer?s expectations in all areas of manufacturing business.
